01 yukon denali stalling

hi all, iv got a bit of a problem with the wifes daily driver. this happens to her way more than i happens to me, but this is what happens. the rig is an 01 yukon denali with the 6.0 and when she turns slowly it will stall. i think once it stalled when she stopped at a stop light. it doesnt happen every time but it happens enough to be a problem. also when it idles it seems idle very low. my cousin has a 03 denali with the same motor with a similar problem that he has not addressed yet. if any of you have some ideas or the same problem, post up. thanks

Re: 01 yukon denali stalling

the genIII motors (and the 6.0 in particular) are bad about fouling up the throttle body with carbon and crud. This really jacks with the drive by wire systems like in your Denali.
Remove the air intake tube from the throttle body and clean inside and out (both sides of the blade, especially the edges) with throttle body cleaner. put it back together and enjoy.

That's it. Had the same issue on an 01 Tahoe I used to have.

My 02 Avalanche 2500 is doing the same thing, I will clean the TB and see if that works, mine is the Big Block, but shouldn't make any difference. Will let you know if it works. Thanks, Neal

Re: 01 yukon denali stalling

if its got the drive-by-wire type throttle body...then yes you could have the same issue.
