a little better picture of my truck.

And a picture of the truck i drew inspiration from.

I will tell you it takes some effort to make this happen...

My truck has a flip down electric actuator. It flips down when I turn on the key and flips up when I turn it off.

Wont help you since its a stepside. I have a 64 front bumper flipped and cut.

Problem in Calif is the bumper law, got a fix it ticket for not having one on the rear...but the CHP did not write up for the blue dot taillights ....

Sorry Cris - Ive been working in the arctic and didnt see your question until today. I used piece of 5 x 3/16 flat steel and some 3/16 x 1 angle iron to make the bumper - welded in some dummy bumper bolt heads - 1/4 flat steel for the mounts - took,about 2 hours - painted it then wiped it off with thinners to get the aged steel look. Quite pleased with the finished product
