Help - Gas Tank Install

Heeellllpppp. Now that I got the hose problem figured out I am trying to get this new gas tank installed in my blazer. I ordered a steel tank kit from Early Classics and I just realized I have two different straps.

I am going to call them Monday, but does anyone have some pictures of what the straps should look like. I may have to make one so I can get the truck out of the garage. I have another project that may come Wednesday and I need to have the garage empty badddd!

Also does anyone have some pictures of a stock tank installed, from passenger and driver side. The old tank was custom built so I have none of the old mounting hardware and nothing to go by to make sure I have it in correct. I know that there was supposed to be some kind of guide blocks that sat between the frame and the tank flange. Any idea where to get these and do I really need them?

Sorry for all the questions. Just want to do this right the first time. Thanks for all the help.

I believe you want to use the second one. Mine only bolts on on one side, the other slides in a hole in the frame. Im sure you can use bolts on both sides. Good luck Darren

Thanks Darren. After calming down and taking a second look I realized that I could reverse the bend in the second one and they would both match. Carefully did this using the tank as a form and got the tank in last night. Started it up this morning without a problem. Whew. Glad this job is over.

I still would like some input on the tank guides I mentioned in the first post. Anyone know about these?

Thanks everyone for the help. I also put in an Early Classics hidden hitch and have some good pictures of the install if anyone needs them.

Later, Jason
