1957 Gmc 250 automatc V8
I came across a 1957 GMC 250 dual rear wheel truck with a 347 pontiac and a hydromatic automatic trans cheap and its restorable. I haven't found much info on the 250, just the 100 and the 300 serise. It looks just like the 1 tons with the big back window and directionals an top of the fenders. wondering if anyone knows about how rare these are, from what I can figure these were the first autos produced in the GMC. any help or info would be great. I believe that the 55 GMC 2nd series was the first to offer the hydramatic automatic trans. I really can't help you on the 250 model info. I would say that they are rare, so it sounds like you got yourself a good find!

Most of the Commercial size rigs have been crushed long ago... so they are a rarity today but not years ago. In the 50's to 70's they were the workhorses of America!

COE on SWB StepSide
There is a 57 COE in Town here that was installed on a SWB and has a short step-side bed... COOL Looking Ride for sure! rico_bob
