Power Lock "Reset" 1981-1987 Suburban?

Okay, I was trying to fix my power windows. I had the power door lock switch out and bare. The power locks did work until the contacts touched my door handle and sparked (a very small spark, like a static electricity spark). I assumed they shorted out. They haven't worked since. Is there any way I can "reset" the power door locks switch? Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Have you checked your fuses? Usually a spark like that will cause a fuse to pop for the power lock circuit. I don't know what year you have, but find a fuse diagram, pull the power lock fuse (I think it's usually labelled ACC, but I don't have power locks, so I'm not sure)... and replace the fuse with a new one, or a same-amp from a different circuit. If it works, replace the fuse and you're back in business. If swapping from a different circuit doesn't work, you can also bridge the gap with a short piece of wire to make sure that the fuse you used isn't blown as well (TEMPORARILY, make sure you use a correct fuse!).

Anybody know which fuse is for power locks in a 1987 GMC Suburban? What's it labelled?
