P30 Rims?

I have a 97 motorhome on a Ford chassis. The rims are 10 lug 7.25 inch pattern rims with a 16 inch diameter, which means the biggest tire that will fit is a 235/85/16. That doesn't leave a lot of safety margin on the load rating.

I know that some years of P30 trucks had a 10 lug 7.25 bolt pattern with 19.5 inch wheels. I'd like to find some used ones so I can upgrade the tires on my RV, but I need to know what years of P30s to look at. Anyone out there know what years the P30 had that bolt pattern?

Thanks in advance!

Re: P30 Rims?

Not sure of the years on the P30, but I'm pretty sure the 90s-01 GM 3500HD trucks used the 10x7.25" pattern as well in a 19.5. Not sure on the hub bore, might want to check that to be sure as well.

I know I'll have to machine the hub bore slightly on any of the Chevy rims.

Thanks for the heads-up on the 3500 HDs.

Re: P30 Rims?

Both of my 96 GMC 3500HD have them. I have a whole bunch of extra's but shipping would probably kill it. Here are some pic/ measurements if it helps you out. I come up with 5.25 hub 7.25 c2c lug pattern and 11/16 lug hole

They made these trucks up to 2002, so there's another year you can look for.

How far down the eastern shore are you? I'm right over the border in PA and could really use a spare.

I jumped on UPS to get an idea and shipping was over $700 based on an estimated weight. But the information really helps. Thanks.

Re: P30 Rims?

Fastenal would be the way to go if you have on nearby. I have used them several times and been very happy
Edit. I see there is one in Orem. I assume you would need 6 of them or 7? I can get a quote if you might be interested. Let me see how many I do have but I think it was 8 of them

Re: P30 Rims?

I would definitely be interested. I guess I could get away with 6, since the spare I have is within .02 inch diameter of the tires I would put on these rims. It would be kind of like a space saver spare.

Re: P30 Rims?

The 19.5 10 x7.25 rims can be found on these units as well

P30 with straight I beam front axle Step vans.
GP30HD = G van P chassis HD cut away only built 3 years or so.
Class A motorhomes mid 70's until now

As a side note these used the Dana 80 & HO110 rear with disk brakes.

Thanks

Thanks. I didn't know the motorhomes still use them. That will widen my search.

Yeah, my rear is a Dana 80.

I'm pretty sure those are 16 inch rims, though. But thank you.

Lots of confusion here. The f450 didn't come out until 99. It had 19.5" wheels and a metric lug pattern.

Maybe you just mean super duty? I have family that has a 90. 14,500 pound truck. It has the same 16" wheels the OP is trying to get rid of.

These are the trucks I'm talking about 87-96 the fender emblems F super duty,we have quigley trucks in town with 19.5 10 lugs. I'm not a ford guy so I couldn't say if they were change when the 4x4 conversions were done or not.

Thanks
