You guys who have late model seats...

Do you have any problem with visibility out the back window witht the raised headrests on the newer seats? Has anyone just taken the headreasts off? Problems with taking headrests off?

Thanks.

I have some in my suburban. they dont bother me. But the damn barn doors bug the crap outta me. It makes it hard to see if there is a cop right behind you or not.

Long Knight,
The driver's seat headrest shouldn't be much trouble since it's behind your head anyway. Passenger side... maybe. I have a set of very tall Corbeau's in my Jeep and they don't really cause a problem.

John,
Nice seats. Details?

I MUST have a set of seats like those!!! The factory bench is too thick and buckets like those would give me better leg room. WHAT DID THEY COME OUT OF??????

I've got second-row Suburban seats in mine...they're maybe a couple of inches taller with the headrests...no issues at all.

Okay, now I am going to hold my breath 'til John gets back to us on the origin of those killer seats. (Apparently, John has more of a life than we do!)

Patience is a virtue, or a pain in the butt, depending on what kind of day one is having. John???

Okay the seats are from a 87 fullsize blazer, the backs are from a Fiero withe the headrests cut off,They bolt on with no mods. The console is a repro I made a aluminum cup holder plate to replace the origional type pockets, and covered lid with same material as seats. also the seats are mounted on the blazer bases and sit about the same height as origional seat 13". sorry to take so long to reply. John

Dave my upholstery guy does mainly rods and custom jobs and he is the brains behind it. He is doing a 37 ford street rod right now with basically the same seats.
