what am I in for..changing oil pan gasket

I have some leaks and all seem to be comming from my oil pan gasket. It's a 250 6 cyl. I was looking at itlast night and looks to be tight to get the oil pan out. Anyone tell me how they did it >

Thanks, Dave

Unfortunately you'll have to unbolt the motor mounts and lift the engine up a bit to clear the x-member if it's the same as a V8. You shouldn't have to go much, I'd loosen the bolts from bell housing x-member to bell housing (if manual tranny) to allow some slack so as to not break anything back there.

Also make sure carb linkage, etc is removed so as not to break it either.

You won't have to separate tranny from engine to accomplish this which is a good thing.
