05 TrailBlazer 4x4
I'm thinking of purchasing 1 05 TrailBlazer. Took it for a test drive and tried the four wheel drive. shifted from 4x2 to auto then to 4x4 high and 4x4 low. The indicator light changed and showed which range it was in, and it shifted into and out of low range with no problem. The front axle did not engage with the transfer case in any 4 wheel drive position.
Is there a shift motor to disconnect the front axle on these like the ones from the 80's? Is there something else on these I should look for? Don't want to buy it if it's an expensive fix.
