eBay truck (not mine)

Why would someone put lots of time and money in a restoration and not pay attention to small and cheap details like knobs, lighters, etc? (Not to mention calling it a Chevy in the title and a GMC in the description)....

Re: eBay truck (not mine)

i think that truck looks amazing and he could take off all the knobs and call it a Ford
and its still a solid build

Re: eBay truck (not mine)

If they would of painted the top bar of grill the body color that would make it look better. Pop rivets on vin plate too

Re: eBay truck (not mine)

Not a bad looking truck, but if you can get 25K for a Long bed, I know what I am doing when I retire. Also as stated, those rivets are a no-no....

Re: eBay truck (not mine)

It's a nice looking truck. As usual, it's a dealer/flipper selling it, not the person who built it.

Re: eBay truck (not mine)

actually, you can get $25k for a longbed, why not? Just don't see it in this one. I like it a lot and would like it at abut $10k less. I would need to undo the gone wild with white paint look. The top and grille area should have been painter right and the later hubcaps need black accent. All that white just screams straight out of the resale paint booth. I would have liked to have found that before they did

Uh-oh! That's what I used to reattach my VIN plate.

What's the alternative?

Thanks!

Re: eBay truck (not mine)

It' definitely a nice truck...I guess I'm just a bit OCD about it when I think about the money that went into it and for just a little more it would have been LOTS better. Of course, if the guy that restored it actually wanted it that way, then more power to him...but to me it looks like it just ain't finished....

Did you paint it or did a shop do it?

If you can get 25K for a Longbed, go for it. I don't see it and maybe in another 5-10 years the market will change that.

Re: eBay truck (not mine)

My biggest problem is that they used the wrong two tone paint scheme for a 67! the front pillars should be body color not white. And I do agree it drives me bat guano crazy seeing little details skipped over and asking top dollar.

One really nice truck I have seen advertised locally that is beeing asked over 20 k for says complete only thing it needs is AC charged? Really go get it charged talk about a nickel holding up a dollar

I can build 2 like that (only better) for that kind of money. Not bragging just stating fact.

i gotta disagree here, my 67 chevy has the same color scheme. and its oem. i pulled the cowl and windshield and the lip of my windshield half white as well.
i think its a real nice truck, the knobs do bug me but thats easily fixable. i like those door panals too.
