Ok, I'm at work, and about an hour ago, I look out the window and saw something I never thought existed: a burb with the 03+ silverado front clip. It was also a 2500 Quadrasteer model. I talked with the owner for a minute -- his wife was inside shopping -- and he said it came off the line with the angry eyes frontend. Has anybody else ever seen one of these? I wanted to take a pic, but it would have been awkward with the guy sitting there.

Never seen one, its pretty rare or someone put a different front clip on it, which would be my guess.

The suburbans and tahoes sold in Mexico (and probably other places) got the silverado nose change in 03 with the trucks. Could be from Mexico and someone brought it across the border?

Three-quarter tons were available briefly with a four-wheel steering system. Decreased parking lot turn radius drastically. It made for some ugly rear fender flares on trucks -- looks like dually fenders, but with single wheels. But it didn't look half bad on the burbs.

Jesse, I didn't know that about the Mexican burbs. That could be where it came from, although I'm sure it's not too cheap to import a mex-spec truck.

I know what quadrasteer is. haha I've never seen it on a burb. I've never seen that front clip on one either

definately cool. i saw one in a truckin magazine a couple months ago. but they swapped the front ends. never knew about the mexico thing

Like to have seen that one. Never seen a suburban with quadsteer but i have seen many mexican subs with the truck frontend.

Welp, I almost died for this thread.

I'm pulling out of Kroger (Texas grocery store) and I see it. My eye balls about fell out of my face after I did a double take. I immediately quoted the title of this thread in my head, having read it months ago... "ANGRY EYES BURB"

I caught a light next to it immediately, and attempted to get their attention. Nothing. I roll up, say "**** it", and snap a picture. That's when the window rolls down. I put the d-max in reverse and back up to just say what's up. Immediately greeted with hostility by three super tattooed vatos.

"You take a peecture or sometheeng?"
"Oh yea man, I've just never seen a suburban with this front end, it's kinda.." (interrupted)
"It ain't your front end!"
"Alright man, It's not a big deal"

Took a right on red, and rolled home.

So, here it is.

It's a truck front end on a Tahoe...Notice the fender flares on the rear...But not on the front.

Good thing for the Duramax...It can definitely outrun a Tahoe.

There is a shop locally that put one of those fronts on a Suburban. The work is a little better than that Tahoe, but it isn't my taste. My wife and I went to Mexico earlier this year, and saw quite a few of them. The ones down there all seem to have the check engine light on too.

I have seen a few of those on houston and yes they all say they brought them from mexico

That doesn't make it a "truck" front end. Just means he is missing a rh front fender flare.

yea they are ugly! lol i seen some suburbans and tahoes with that front out here in tx i just saw one the other day but i also think some people are swapping them out themselves but i wouldnt thats ugly! lol

Not that the primered hood & Off colored grille surround gives it away....But it just LOOKS like a beat-up/previously wreaked/stolen/salvage tiltle 00-02 used car lot special Tahoe

....With a mismatched 03,04,05 TRUCK front-end.
