Red face My 69 project truck

I have been in the autobody business for 31 and have built many trucks and cars, but belive it or not, I have never built one for my self. Well I am 47 now and I am doing it, doing it all for me!! Check it out. the blue truck is the frame doner. The lad in the bare frame picture is Ryan my son

Looks like you'll be farther in a month, than I have been in over 2 years!!!!!!!!

Good luck on the rebuild!

Do you have an idea on where you want to end up?

Re: My 69 project truck

I am done with the frame, it has been sandblasted, all pitts smoothed out and epoxy primed and painted black with glass shield polyurathane paint. All the suspension has been done in the same maner and now being re-assembled but some of the parts like the rear trailing arms and and front engine cross member have been painted body color (yellow with a pearl coat), and coils springs and calipers are red, rear mounted gas tank is silver bc/cc with custom made SS tank straps and red rubber insulators under the straps. I am now assembeling these parts on the frame and am almost done. I stripped and painted the engine and transmission a viper red (close to GM engine red) but used the same pearl coat on it as the pearl that will be on the body. You have probably guessed by now that this is a show truck project and not a daily driver. Cheers

Re: My 69 project truck

There is really good air ducts under the dash and a good glove box liner that I will keep and whatever else I can strip out of it, then send it to scrap.
