It's a 351 W , however it's been massaged to the tune of 400 H.P . Runs hard enough to get one in lots of trouble. Though i like speed , it is not raced . We choose to drive it hard on the road every once in awhile.

Very nice !

May I ask what it sold for ? I often wonder if I would ever sell mine if the price got high enough ./ These cars are not comming along much these days and if you see one it's either totaly ruined or priced so high can't buy it,

Re: My Mach 1

Thank you!!
I sold it for $50k, but remember that was in the "heyday" of values (2005).
It was a 1969 Boss 302 (1 of 1731 ever built) with original paint and me being the second owner. At today prices it would probably only bring about $30k.

Re: My Mach 1

50,000 grand . You did good !

I think my wife would sell ours for 35,000 , if it was offered . But we did get a couple people who offered us a few bucks less than that. we said no. We'll keep it untill were to old to enjoy it any more.

Yeah you did good selling at the top of the market,But right now with the flood of projects for sell you could always pick up another mustang cheap now.I love just about any old car don't matter the make,As a kid my dad had a 71 mustang and my mom had a 78 nova both had no ac kids are spoiled now lol.I kinda laugh about new cars saying how safe they are when i grew up with cars with lap belts power nothing and a steel dash.

Yes there is a flood of cars for sale these days. The problem is most people think they have gold. all they know is what they used to sell for and the problem is some uneducated person sooner or will cough up the money because they have lusted after these kinds of cars for ever , but then every once in a while there is a gem out there and I miss it by a day or two !

Re: My Mach 1

I have looked at a few here and there some was fair priced but kinda a bigger project then i wanted. The best one was a 72 442 i looked at it was a clone he tried to pass off as real but the vin said other ways,But the best part was the fresh paint job i found thick bondo in common rust spots and the floor pan was patched with pieces pop riveted in.It was 8 grand but all the shotty work i didn't even bother to make a offer i just left.

I belong to a Mustang Forum and I hear horror stories about e bay car sales , people buy them site unseen ( no on site inspection ) and then get them home and find out they got a rust bucket covered up with bondo and riveted sheet metal.
