700r4 swap

Hello folks:

Sorry for asking a fairly common question, but the search button doesn't work.
My question is: what are the major things to consider when swapping a 700r4 trans in place of th350? I know that the driveshaft will have to be shortened, but I was thinking that moving the engine forward would eliminate the need for that. What is the cost for getting a driveshaft shortened?
I was thinking maybe using something like this TD Performance Mounts

Let me know what else to lookout for!

Thanks

James Strickland
