Wich year tri-5?
All it takes is cutting and welding and you can make just about anything fit. I've smoothed my entire dash.
Saw one at a truck show with the gauge hump removed and it looked fine.

Sure it can be done. If youve got the time and patience it can be done. Heres one i found of a 52 with an early 60's Mopar dash.

Re: anybody put a tri-five car dash in their truck

I was saving a '55 Bel Air dash for mine, but a buddy needed it for his restoration, so I gave it to him. I have seen it done in our style of trucks, and it looks killer. Just make sure you don't alter the humped areas, or the gauge cluster and factory trim panels won't fit. The cool thing about those dashes is that the glove box is dead center, which is a perfect place to hide the stereo and air ride switches. Good luck, and post pictures!

I'm going to do this as soon as I can find a 55 dash for cheap. I just was going to do it to match the dash in my car.
