Goofy question here.... skin allergies

Hey all,

I've got pretty severe contact dermatitis, and I have a lot of problems with dry skin. My hands for example, I don't have a camera handy, but I have some grease/dirt on my hands from over a week ago that won't go away. Fast orange and gojo won't touch it.

Being a floor leader at work, as well as a machine operator, I walk miles per day, and my legs are also dried out. Is there some sort of natural lotion I can use to help that out. Corn Huskers lotion works on my hands, but breaks my legs out. So does the Avon moisture therapy lotion. I have a steroid cream from the Dr. that helps a little, but I need to do something soon. This is the third fall/winter season I've dealt with this, and it drives me crazy. The skin on my legs will get so dry, I'll actually bleed where my jeans rub my legs (calves mostly). Pretty freaky, I know....maybe TMI .

I use only natural soaps, and they help a little, but not enough.

Any ideas?

Re: Goofy question here.... skin allergies

you will probably turn your nose up to this, but I am a firm believer in vitamin E. You can buy pure E oil in bottles. Its thick and hard to cover large areas, but does have amazing healing qualities. It soothes and heals, but you need the oil, not lotion with chemicals etc in it.. Another is aloe, again same as E but one promotes healing from within and one for surface. Both are thick n sticky gooey slime, so your best bet is to slather it on at night.
Another thing I have used for actual skin issues is OoO (oil of oregano) its a natural healing agent. There is tons of info out there on it, and it is known for helping with skin issues such as fungus etc.. Thing with that is OoO will make you hyper for a few days when you first start using it.. so if you like sleep its a bad idea. Though you do get alot done the 36 hours or so your up hyper before your body regulates to it.

Other then that I would say try coco butter. Try to find one without added crap and you can use that in the morning and the others at night.

good luck darlin

Thanks Lizard! Cocoa butter and I do not get along, tried several kinds, but I haven't tried vitamin E or OoO. Thankfully I don't like sleep much, so maybe I'll dive into the OoO. I'm gonna do some research on the stuff you've presented.

Thanks again!
