Re: "G&S project"

my bet if it came in a truck its a 2 bolt. thats what you want anyways. 4 bolts are prone to cracking and there not as stong as a 2 bolt block

Re: "G&S project"

if you're just gonna street daily driver type application, either will work fine. if you want something heavy duty though, get the 2 bolt and have it machined for splayed 4 bolt caps

Re: "G&S project"

Well the guy's coming with the 400 tomorrow, and I have no place to put it except the back of the truck, which is sitting back out in front of the apt. Had family issue today. I decided it'd be best if I brought the truck back here, and anything else out there that was mine. I know this is personal business, but I also know that a lot of people read this *hint hint* PS: I guess I could put it on the new engine stand we bought this morning in the back of the truck, lmao.

Re: "G&S project"

Well, it's here. Lon, a board member here, came over and helped us get it unloaded and in the back of the truck. It's a 330817.....400...72-80...2 bolt
so we'll be starting cleaning it up soon.

Re: "G&S project"

Thanks grasshopper. In the last pic, see the two A/C's? The safe is on the dolly. That's what we have invested in it. Didn't actually know it, but it has a set of chrome valve covers. dirty as heck. GMC91 is coming over next week to help clean it. May take the valve covers off tomorrow and see what the heads are. Time for my nephew to break out the old speed wrench. we going to paint it with some VHT - ENGINE METALLIC red and silver

Re: "G&S project"

We're soaking the exhaust manifold bolts down with penetrating oil. Hopefully we'll get those off this weekend
and start tearing the motor down more. Too dark for pics.
Get some up soon.
Merry Christmas to all, and a happy New Year
