Help! Transfer Case Shift Motor won't line up with pin out of Transfer case-1999 Burb

Last year the 4x4 went out on this Chevy suburban we bought used (1st it got stuck in 4 wheel drive, then Mechanic took the motor off, then turned it - I guess)

I did a previous thread on those issues.. we ended up buying a # of new parts in order to fix this.. our older mechanic could not fix it.. never charged my husband ... he told him -if he ever figures it out.. please let him know !

We let it go over the summer.. we didn't need the 4x4... and it runs well ... but here Winter is just around the corner.. he is looking to fix this - my husband is beside himself with this mechanical situation..

Has anyone ever remotely ran into this problem??

What we bought new last Winter but still couldn't get to work was :

Transfer case control module ($300)- NP8 New Process
Transfer case switch motor ($160)
4x4 switch on the dash ($35)....

Any advice on what to do ?? Thank you so much !
