1996 K1500 4.3 to 7.4 swap

I have a 1996 K1500 4.3 to 7.4 swap that is almost complete. I am just waiting on a new ECM to complete it. I have the 7.4 motor installed and found an engine bay wiring harness for it. It is a 5 speed so that took some doing. I have been thru this truck and want to make sure that I have not missed anything. Anybody have any ideas of what I should double check?

Re: 1996 K1500 4.3 to 7.4 swap

We're in the process of swapping a 75 350 in a 89 K1500 which has a worn out 350. We got it running today, however having fuel pump issues. Wish I could give you some solid advice , other than print some wiring diagrams and study them.
Good luck and maybe be more specific on any issues. May get you more help

Thanks, David

All of the 96+ vortec engines(4.3/5.0/5.7/7.4) have the same fuel pump. The sending units changed for the 98 model year.

There is no need to upgrade the pump.
