What kind of specific identification do you need? Looks like a 1990 TH400. Possibly out of a Suburban, a pickup or a motorhome. Got a bigger pic of the complete unit?

I bought this as a replacement for the one in my truck that is on its way out . I was just curious to know the year and application .

Re: TH 400 Identification ?

I would be more concerned about whats in the pan since its a used unit...why was it pulled out of its existing vehicle, did you have a chance to drive the vehicle it came out of....you do know for sure its better than what you already have in your vehicle....was it rebuilt and only has 50 miles on it and the vehicle was totaled.... ok, now we know....rebuilding your old T400 would cost to much than the used one...

Re: TH 400 Identification ?

I pulled the pan and everything looked good . Motor and trans were pulled from a running vehicle and motor was put into another truck that already had a good TH 350 so the TH 400 was not needed .

By having this type of information, maybe ask the person who owned it before you what year, make and model did this T400 come out of...just a thought. Good Luck.

Re: TH 400 Identification ?

I do not know what the FAA broadcast code is for.

I have an '87 shop truck. 4.3l V6 with a TH400. Stripper truck except for the automatic and a/c
