57 truck

NEVER MIND.

I just went on a video tour of the 56 and the top of the roof at the windshield and the doors is rusted out. I'll keep looking.

Are there any other differences that would keep me from making the 56 a 57?

Re: 57 truck

Thanks.

I'm still looking at the 3 - 57's, and one of them is really speaking to me in pictures. However, they are all over 3 hours one way to go look, so I'm trying to get some more pics before I start driving.

The 56 is a little over an hour away. I did find a 57 big window with a title, but it would need all new everything, a lot of rust out all over, so I was thinking of combining the two into one. So this may be an option.

Re: 57 truck

To make a '56 look like a '57 I assume you are just talking the hood and grill as those are the basic differences. Hood swap is no issue. To do the grill, you will need '57 front fenders as they have a relief in them for the grill surround where a mounting bolt and flange goes. You also may have to modify the splash pan that goes under the grill and between the fenders to accept the '57 mounting which should be fairly simple.
