67-72 vs 73+ LCA

I read a few places here that the 73+ LCA had slightly better clearance for bags over the 67-72 LCA. Is that true? Anyone have a side by side photo? Are there any other differences beside the obvious ball joints and cross shafts?

Cups and D2600 bags. More clearance means I can cut the cups down more and have a lower ride height

I think they are the same... I never heard of the arms being diff besides the ball joints. I would just cup them a few inches deep.

I know the ball joints and cross shafts are different for sure. The other difference I read about (and can sort of see from some pictures) is that the spring pocket has more of a taper on the 73+ arms. I considered cupping the arms, but I wouldn't be able to utilize most of the benefit because of the inner fenders. I am using 2" cups on my bags now and I have very little clearance between the arm and bag at ride height. I would like to trim the cups down a little further, but I don't want the bag to rub at ride height.
