1999 C1500 2WD Suburban AC Evaporator Location

I am assuming it's in the dash behind the glovebox location correct? Hard to clean as it is to find? LOL

Anybody with some tips? I don't have cabin air filters.

I am thinking this thing is pretty clogged because I can't get the recirculate air to come on.

Thanks

Re: 1999 C1500 2WD Suburban AC Evaporator Location

A 99 Suburban is actually a 88-98 body style.

The Evaporator is easier to access on your style truck, Remove the heater core access door, Drop the heater core down, Then remove the blower motor.

Use "foaming evaporator cleaner" on the blower side. Let it sit, using compressed air....blow through the evaporator on the heater core side....Scoop all the crap from the blower area out, reassemble.
