stock height or lifted?

I bought a Blazer about a month ago and the previous owner didn't know much about the truck besides stuff he has done to it. I have 33x12.50/15 tires on the blazer and was wonderong if you can do that on stock height springs? I'll have to get pictures later. It has 3 leafs in the front and 4 leafs in the rear. It clears the tire for driving so no rubbing. anyone? Thanks and Happy Holidays!

The stock front springs have 2 leaves and they arch upward in the center rather than downward like most leaf springs. It could be some kind of add-a-leaf?

At the time it was held up with a bungee cord It fell the rest of the way off when I put it in dry shop, saved from having to cut it out.

Re: stock height or lifted?

Mine cleared 33's at the stock height. It is the height as well as the arc of the front fenders. The back looks a little more full than the front. S

I recently bought a 72 Blazer with the heavy front spring option (3 leaves).
I have 32 x 11.50 x 15's on my 71.

Re: stock height or lifted?

Are you guys running the 33 X 12.50 on 8" wide rims? Just curious....BFG says 9" wide minimum for 12.50's.......I want to run a 33" but I have 8" wide wheels.

Re: stock height or lifted?

BFG says the same thing for the 31x10.50 and I'm running mine on 15x6 steelies with zero issues.

Re: stock height or lifted?

I'm just trying to decide if I want to run a 10.5 or a 12.5.....
I have a set of Centerline style 15 x 8 wheels that were on the Blazer when I got it.

(only pic of the wheels right now)

I am going to re-machine and re-furbish them.....also I will not be doing much (if any) off-road so I'm thinking about rolling resistance.

I've run dozens of sets of the BFG all terrains over the years and, for me, they are top of the line.

I like the looks of the 12.5 size best....I'm going with a 2˝" lift and re-gearing to 4.11 to go along with the LS1/4L60E combination... so turning them won't be a problem.....just can't decide.....???
