01 Tahoe Parking Brake Stuck

Hey all, tonight we had a flat tire on an 01 tahoe, we put the parking brake on to change the wheel and when we went to release it the back wouldn't release. Tried anything we could think of, need to get it out of gas station parking lot by tomorrow afternoon so any help is appreciated. Thank you

Re: 01 Tahoe Parking Brake Stuck

Does the pedal release? If so, check the cables to see if they are loosening. Probably have one or more of the cables corroded. Then you can try pulling them toward the rear.
