has anyone on here or know where i can find a thread about swapping a stright axle under a 97 s10 blazer? i want to do this kind of swap but im not sure if i can keep it streetable after that but i would like to know how to do it.

Do some Googling on swapping in a Jeep YJ front Dana 30 into an S10. The width is the same and I believe the lug nut pattern is even the same. Saw some neat threads on S10’s with Jeep YJ front axles somewhere along the line over the years. They basically reweld the YJ spring perches (flip them over) and add leaf springs to the front of the S10 then just do an axle flip to the stock S10 rear suspension. Pretty cheap conversion really. Dana 30’s aren’t totally bomb proof but have a wealth of aftermarket goodies to toughen them up.

You can keep it streetable - pretty much every 4x4 on here has a straight axle under it. It all depends on how you build it. A Dana 30 axle is popular for the swap. I would check a site like pirate 4x4 as it is geared towards the more hardcore offroad crowd. Also try googling S10 SAS (straight axle swap) and see what you find. When you do get going be sure to post it up here, though! Good luck.
