molding clips

It looks like these just push in. But how do you remove them?
Molding clip 'C' that holds the molding to the body between the door and bed.

Push in, I removed a few using a small flat head to kinda compress one side.

I'm pretty sure I figured out hot to secure the clip in the molding, but the 'double'piece that's supposed to go in the holes in the truck, won't fit in the holes.
