1 or 2 piece driveshaft

I'm doing a 5.3l / a883 swap into my 77 c10 shortbed, and can use either a 1 or 2 piece driveshaft.

Is the 1 or 2 piece driveshaft preferred?

Re: 1 or 2 piece driveshaft

I would go 1pc since you have a swb.....less moving parts to wear and less chance for driveline vibration

I agree with 1 pc. I had a '79 Shortbed long ago and the carrier bearing went out. I'll never forget my mechanic buddy saying.... "F**K that Carrier bearing!" It was funny at the time. So out it came and I delivered pizza in that thing for a year until I traded for a '79 Blazer.
