epoxy primer
My 65 is in epoxy primer now and has been for a couple months. If I decide to paint it do I have to respray the epoxy or can I just scuff the epoxy and then spray the mp 282 over it

Re: epoxy primer
Depends on the brand, some you can scuff and shoot, some needs a tie coat of epoxy again and then your high build (or other) after flashing but before fully cured. Your paint mfr should have a spec sheet that gives application instruction, or if you tell us what you’re using, perhaps someone has experience with it and can fill you in.

Re: epoxy primer
The high build primer is mp282 and the epoxy is the same brand. The sheet says must scuff and reapply after so many hours. I usually just spray the epoxy and let it flash then spray the high build but I wanted the back color so I just sprayed the epoxy.

Re: epoxy primer
Spray one coat of mp175 after a scuff with somewhere around 220 grit[ I assume it is black you used] then move on to the high build. I love me some mp 282 I have sprayed hundreds of gallons of it it is some good stuff.
