Cutting down a 67

I have a 67 c10 lwb that I have down to the frame going to start to build in the next mounth or so. It will have a vortec 400 and 4l80 with a 69 dana 60 rear and 1987 3/4 suburban front disk and spindles plan it to cut it down to a swb have been doing some research on how to cut it down brothers has a new kit that looks like it will save some time but it is just a straight cut on the frame with a sleeve vs the step cut like is done on the show gears I plane on boxing the frame under the cab anyways. My ? Is do you guys think the brothers kit is worth the ?400 they are asking and If I am boxing the frame would the straight cit be strong enuf
