Re: Iced Green dream

well I lied....No paint on the bed but it wasnt due to lack of effort. My directions on the project have changed slightly. I have been doing some body work and customization to my cab and realized I was getting in over my head as far as time goes. I really miss having my truck on the road. I want it back, but dont want to make any short-cuts which leads me to my new adventure of sorts. Stay tuned as this 3/4 long bed will be a bagged 1/2 ton short bed soon! The paint that was going to go on my bed will make it on there, just painted to match this truck instead....

Re: Iced Green dream

took my tranny out last week so It could be rebuilt before I put the new cab and front end on. Its finished waiting for me to pick up. I got my new torque converter yesterday and Im going to put them in tomorrow. Hopefully this is the last time they are out. Dropping some pullies and brackets at the powder coaters tomorrow when Im finished. Things are going to start moving here soon.

Re: Iced Green dream

rolled the truck out for some sun last weekend. I started the cab and front end swap and almost have her ready to go. I was going to swap them today but its 102 outside. It will have to wait until next weekend. I also picked up an ac dash for my cab. Still moving forward....

Re: Iced Green dream

good question, I really have no idea. Hopefully it will inspire people not to change the body lines of the best looking trucks GM has put on the road to date. I know taste is subjective, but this thing was a complete mess.

Re: Iced Green dream

So i am looking for some opinions. I have a brand new NOS 71-72 grill and front bumper sitting in my garage. I cant decide if I should run it or keep the 69-70 grill. Any opinions? I also have 71-72 mirrors.

I say run the 71-72 grill That 69-70 grill looks good though, It's in good shape. The NOS grill might stick out like a sore thumb if its real shiny ?

Re: Iced Green dream

Well I decided to go with the 71-72 grill. Put it on last night. Also put in tilt column and finished my gas pedal and booster assembly. I finished my gas pedal linkage. Next up is adjusting my trans kickdown linkage and running e brake cables. I also need to install shift linkage which i need to order. I have to run a cable because my exhaust is in the way. Busy week at work this week. Hopefully i will find some time this weekend to pick back up. As soon as my computer is fixed i will upload some more photos.
