Re: Whats it worth?????

What's the mileage on it? I say 4100 would be the high end. I would have no problem paying that kind of money if it were something you plan on keeping. If you want to turn it, I don't think there is much room for a much deserved finders profit. I wish you were closer. I love it. I want it. Just not in position at the moment.

Hey, on second thought, that truck is worth at least 5k delivered to MO...J/K

That would indeed make a nice driveway pal for the Blazer.

Pricing rust repair, I know you know. Shocking isn't it.

I went through this recently. I found out that most shippers are just consigners.(sp) They pull from a network of drivers on there roster. It's like rolling dice. Most important thing is to document with photos when loading. And make sure they carry plenty of insurance. Find out about claims paid out. Basically get the least expensive shipper, and quiz them hard. Btw, I had a good experience, it just took longer than they promised.
Google car shipper ratings/reviews.
Oh, check out the trailer and rig also. You don't have to use it if it's junk.
Lots of pics on the trailer, and a photo of driver, and check there I.D. Good luck.

Re: Whats it worth?????

Well there in lies the problem if he accepts my offer i will put it in the for sale section and i can update everyone. As for now I dont actually own it ya know. I assume shipping would be about 500$ so I am hoping I can get it for a little under 3500$

Re: Whats it worth?????

I'm guessing it would be closer to $1000.
It use to be $.90/mile (one way),... but that was a while back.

EDIT: 1938 miles. That takes me out unless you can still get it here undamaged for $4k.

Re: Whats it worth?????

no.

When someone says No rust, I expect no rust, surface or otherwise
I see rust where the paints rubbed thru in the door jam pic.

Seriously though?
not unless it has a working rear a/c with a full charge and some reciepts for some of the mandatory repair work.

this is very potentially one of those cars that will suck you dry replacing every dang thing that sat around for years and corroded internally... once you start driving it. The bushings will start breaking down, hoses will start to fail, wiring will fail, hydraulics will go tits up at the worst time... maybe even the engine's rings will go.

To be honest it needs tires, complete brake system replaced form the master to the calipers to the pads rotors and drums... water pump and engine hoses...

IT also isn;t a very desireable color, unless you retired army and feel the need to build a tribute "barn find" by stencilling some faded serial numbers etc.

There also is no 'blue book' of 5500 on a 72 suburban... blue book is about $1000 I think he found this forum/thread and raised his price.

The one here advertised locally sold for Under 3k, and then sold AGAIN 2 months later after some work for $3100.

EDIT: sorry I missed the second page...

Re: Whats it worth?????

there are products out there to revitalize old paint. if no rust or damage, that might be the most cost effective way to bring it back to life. be awesome to see a truck as it was when it rolled off the life, but without a big dollar restoration in between!

what are those little things above the drip rail?......do they hold a roof rack?
