Re: 1967 Mustang Coupe Build (Electra)

I don't know why, but I'm really diggin the 1st one.

If I did the 2nd one, I'd add the lower GT style stripe in red too.

Re: 1967 Mustang Coupe Build (Electra)

Im leaning towards the rally stripes......

Got tracks on the 05 Passenger seat and drilled out the holes for the drivers side. Also the passenger side is leaking. I must of cut the hose because goop is leaking out the bootom so hopefully that stops soon lol

Sat I adjusted the throttle bar as it was to tight and wouldnt let the car idle correctly. Now it idles near 5/600 RPM. I also zip tied the fuel line up a little higher to get it was from the exhaust pipe, added a bolt to the driver side hanger as it some how rattled out. WTF...ugh

then i decided to get started on trying to fix the cowl leak. I thought the plastic caps would work but the drivers side is way too far gone. I am too far in to remove the cowl so i am going to just use a cowl cover and i put urethane in the holes of the wiper blades.

I plan to take then fenders off and check to see if i can access it from the side but for now it just looks like a deal breaker on fixing the cowl

So yesterday i coated the roof in sound deadener

Re: 1967 Mustang Coupe Build (Electra)

Well good times....I covered the cowl, put urethane in the wiper holes. So I pour water on it and wahlah! Sealed!! Then it starts going down the fender gaps....O now its in the car again>>>>>>UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ok...So maybe i will take the fenders off this weekend and investigate...Not happy...I just want to be able to put the carpet in and not worry blah

Re: 1967 Mustang Coupe Build (Electra)

Well after driving it sat i also realized that other then needing an alignment the back end seem to have issues when hitting bump. Being that she is old I ordered a new set of 4.5 leaf springs and shackle kit. A new parking brake front line, a shortened shifter lever, a shifter rebuild kit, and a driver side cowl patch. I plan to take the fender off and cut the side of the cowl and try to patch it that way.

Re: 1967 Mustang Coupe Build (Electra)

I say #2 like Jesse said. With the GT stripes on the bottom. It would be something different and look cool. Sorry to hear about the cowl leaking.

very nice. Ill be going sequential eventually and there is a guy on VMF that makes them. Ill be grabbing though since they are pretty freaking awesome and have lots of changeable settings. My lights work but i just needed clean bezels and they weren't much more expensive with the lens so i went with that. LEDs would be nice though

Re: 1967 Mustang Coupe Build (Electra)

Who is the VMF guy and what does he charge? Is it just an LED panel you plug in or does he injection mold them into a lens?

Re: 1967 Mustang Coupe Build (Electra)

Installed my new Grab-a-trac 4.5 stand eye rear leaf springs in. It raised the rear about an inch and now drives a million times better. But i think i have i6 springs so the front rubs if i hit a bump turning too much
