Transmission cooling Lines Install

I am installing new cooling lines to my 350 engine THM 350 on my 1972 pickup. I removed the old ones and the engine months ago, and of course, I didn't take pictures of that and have forgotten the routing. The engine is in and the exhaust pipes are connected, but starter is not yet installed. I can't find a good picture in the Service or Assembly manuals.

Do the lines go through the metal engine stands or under them? And, do they go between the engine and exhaust pipe? My truck was converted to dual exhaust years ago. The pipe comes down and back toward the muffler.

Re: Transmission cooling Lines Install

Would someone please look at your truck with 350 THM 350 and tell me how to route the lines. Thanks

Re: Transmission cooling Lines Install

Here's three pics I just took of my 350 Turbo trans cooler lines. That's the best I can do cause the trucks too low to crawl under. The lines go under the starter then along the side of the engine across the cross member not under the engine mount stand and then up to the radiator. Maybe you can enlarge them to get a better look. By the way these lines are reproduction ones from InLine Tube.

Thank you for the reply and pictures. I also have new InLine lines, but didn't get any pictures of their routing, and over the months the engine has been out, I just plain don't remember.

Re: Transmission cooling Lines Install

I got the cooling lines properly installed today. I had run them through the motor stand and knew that wasn't right. Once I got the lines back out of the truck, your pictures were very helpful in getting them installed correctly. Again, thanks!

Re: Transmission cooling Lines Install

Mine too were from InLine. I had some very minor bending to get the ends aligned to allow the fitting to thread in.
