Rear Brake Line for Frame-Laying Truck

Searched and cant find what folks have been doing to get the rear brake line from the frame rail to the back of the pumpkin where it connects to the brake lines heading off to the wheels. Just buy 3/16" fittings and hard line and allow the hard line to flex for suspension travel? Was thinking I'd want something like a hard line fastened to the frame which changed to a braided stainless to allow for the flex. Any help and pics would be great.

I would go hard line on the frame to a flex line to the diff,They do make longer stainless flex lines for 4x4s so you might get away with using one of them.Figure out how long of a line you need and talk to http://www.offroaddesign.com/catalog...brakelines.htm I'm sure they will sell you a rear line only.

Inline tube sells them in all kinds of lengths and ends too.

Thanks for the vendor suggestions, any chance of a pic to see how they are bent and situated?

Re: Rear Brake Line for Frame-Laying Truck

called them both today with 30 and 34" being their max length for the braided stainless with 1/4" flare on one end and the T fitting on the other. Looks like I need to plumb hardline as close as possible. Wondering if people run hardline partway across their c-notch crossbrace with a 90 bend pointing down so the braided cable is as short as possible and just hangs from the cross brace to behind the diff when aired out. If anyone has pics those would be most helpful.

Here's the mess I'm working with:

Re: Rear Brake Line for Frame-Laying Truck

I ran a hard line down the frame, and went to the braided line to the axle. I am in the process of doing mine now, but found the 22" braided will be sufficient for the axle travel. I'll try and grab pictures later today.

You can get these components from Inline Tube, like Nlped mentioned, and is where I got mine. We are a dealer for them.

bumpin this thread from the dead since I'm back on the project ... hoping for some pics on how others got it done. Keep forgetting to grab some at the shows.

Re: Rear Brake Line for Frame-Laying Truck

Depending on the rear setup you are running you can run a hard line to the front mount of the trailing arm, flex to a hard line that runs up the trailing arm, and then another flex that runs over the trailing arm to the rear-end hard lines.

This is how a lot of wheeling rigs run their lines because of so much wheel travel. It keeps things away from where they can get snagged as easy also.
