Hello,

All of the sudden, my truck started feeling spongy around turns and started "wandering" at higher speeds. Just knew something was up, didn't feel right. So in looking at it tonight, noticed that the right front is hard as a rock but the left front can be easily pushed down about 6 inches.
Looked underneath and didn't see anything obviously broken. If a shock absorber blew out, would it cause this? Seems pretty extreme.

bad shock maybe...

Yes, a shock could cause this. Sounds like your springs might be worn too, because even without the shock it shouldn't necessarily be "easy" to push the truck down that far. Did it wallow on the road before?

k, wasn't sure that the shock actually supported that much weight. They are cheap ones from what I can tell so maybe that is all it is.

No, I could feel every single ant I ran over lol. I noticed something just not right yesterday and today got worse to where I knew something was wrong.

Edit--
my definition of "easy" is a 240lb guy able to push down on the corner of the bumper to get 6" of travel. On the right side, I could almost do a hand stand to get 2" of travel.

I would replace both front shocks just to keep them the same age.
