Front Clip Swap

So I currently have a 1970 c10 that is slowly (really slowly) coming together. I'm trying to lay out a plan of attack moving forward, and my main problem is I really like the front end of the67-68 much better. Is swapping them out a simple issue of replacing fenders, grill and bumper? If so (or even if not) does anyone have a link to a describe the process? I did some searching in the forums but I couldn't find anything. Thanks for the help in advance!

First of all.. WELCOME to the forum
In addition to the parts you mentioned you will also need a 67- 68 radiator support with mounts, hood latch, grill support and hood. the bumpers are the same.

+1 agree. In fact, if you can find a complete front clip, there are only about 12-14 bolts to remove the entire clip as an assy. Can be done with 2 people very easily, then slide the replacement one in place and voila! Now it looks like a 67-68. It is much easier than disassembling the entire front clip iMO

Welding is a lot like sex, you don't have to be great with the rod as long as you thoroughly prep the surface and your good at grinding

I agree with above. The 67/8 also has a splash pan which the later years never had.

Re: Front Clip Swap

Awesome. Thanks for the help gents. I'll be keeping an eye out in the salvage yards for one in decent enough condition. Moving in the right direction it seems.
