Your truck looks awesome. It really makes me want a gmc instead of my 68 chevy.

Re: Project: Rufus Restoration

I must say I don't usually like the quad headlight look but when it is all chromed with such a silky paint job it does look pretty cool. I love those guages also. Congrats on the new addition also.

Thanks, I appreciate that. I like that the GMC doesn't seem quite as common as the Chevy fronts. Can't go wrong with either though.

Took the grocery getter out last night with my little buddy. Gotta take advantage of any decent weather to be had these days.

I picked up a slightly used truck a couple days ago to haul the new baby around in. Man this thing rides nice.

You got that right! I dunno why I ever thought crawling under a lowered truck would be a good idea. That shop with a lift would sure be nice to have!

Thanks guys, I really do appreciate that. I gotta say the power is like night and day now. So much fun to drive. I'm glad I finally got a chance to hang out with the local guys and get the hands dirty. Look forward to getting together with you guys again soon.

Thanks Mike! I have a 4L80E tranny. The truck had the original 3.08 and we switched over to a 4.10. This truck really came alive! As much fun as it was to drive before, it's crazy fun now! Definitely recommend the posi/gear swap.

Re: Project: Rufus Restoration

Well, I guess the saying is true...these projects are never really complete. I've started gathering parts for the next round of upgrades. As quick as the truck feels after the gear swap, I'm on the quest for power. I have a set of LS2 heads that will be getting ported as well as swapping in a new cam. I've been told that a properly tuned 6.0 with these upgrades is capable of 400+rwhp. I can only hope this is true! More updates to come soon...
