Has anyone used the IDIDIT column?

Looking at possibly using an IDIDIT floor shift column in my '76. Just wondering if anyone has used it and can elaborate on the install?

Mainly I want to know if the column can be pushed into the dash more than stock and how the column was attached at the firewall.

Thanks!

Re: Has anyone used the IDIDIT column?

If you get a universal column you can make it sit in further, but a replacement won't just do it.

You can pull your old column out. Drill the plastic rivets on the shaft, and tap it in 2 inches. It requires a few other mods but it is a 3 hour project.
