'59 fleetside with a 60-66 Box?

Hey Guys,

Has anyone on this forum attached a 60-66 short box fleetside (rear fenders and tailgate) to their 58-59 shortbox truck ?

Would it fit? Is it a direct bolt in modification?

I goggled the question, but couldn't find any pics of this having been done (but I'm also not too good with computers).

I know it may not look "right", but has anyone done it? 58-59 Fleetside boxes are rarer than hens teeth and twice as expensive. If you know of a picture, please post it.

Thanks
Tod

while the 55 to 66 bed stepside bed is the same, bolt on same
the 60-66 fleetside is a totally different bed than the 58-59 fleetside bed
the body lines don't match, i think it would look a little awkward on there

If you cut that main body line where it separates about 6" down from the top of the bed on that 66 bed and put in a rolled piece like the 58-59 (instead of that sharp seam), it would probably look pretty nice.

But it would involve some metal work. Not real hard either, all the weld areas would be mostly hidden too. It would be different!!!!

The bottom rocker in front of the wheel opening is shaped different too. I was actually comparing the two the other day...
