question on Tranny Shifting..
Ok, on a TH350 i got a good power band from 1st to 2nd, then tranny shifts quick to 3rd gear from 2nd, how can i get the tranny or ?? to stretch out the band between 2nd gear and 3rd?
1st gear.................2nd gear...3rd gear.

Adjust the cable a little tighter. That should do it.

it sounds like ur kickdown cable isnt adjusted tight enough. pop the little clip up and have a friend hold the throttle wide open the cable should pull out more then while hes holding the throttle wide open push the lock back down

on the cable itself at the big fat part where it hooks to the bracketry to hold it still. there is a little u shaped clip that you pop out. at that point the spring should pull the cable back. have someone get in the truck and hold the pedal to the floor when they do this push the u clip back down and the kickdown will be set

Okay, first things first, Cableguy and myself may have told you kind of wrong.
The clip may pull up or it may go sideways. I went out to the garage to snap these pics and one of mine goes sideways rather than up.

When you unlock the clip, the spring will pull the cable. Just have someone else hold the pedal on the floor and then snap the clip in to lock. Should be fine then.
