Ac vent kit

Hello, Happy Easter.
I have a 71 C10 without factory air. It is getting close to being ready for paint and I am looking for advice on a Kit just for the 3 dash vents for now. I'm looking for a kit that will look close to OE but be easy to install, ie: dash cutting.
I figure I will add the complete system later on, but for now just want to do the dash mods before paint.
Any ideas on which company to go to for the parts ? or a Kit that has templates?
I did try and search, but I didn't have much luck?
Thank you,
Dan

Re: Ac vent kit

I opted to cut my dash for the OEM dash vents and will install a stock type system. There are pics in the earlier posts of my build thread. Converting to r134a as opposed to an aftermarket system. IIRC some of the aftermarket venders offer adapter to convert their smaller ducts to the larger stock vents if you choose that path. Unfortunately, the person I got the templates from is no longer on this forum. PM me if you want more info on what I did.

Re: Ac vent kit

If you are going with Vintage Air, their website has downloadable instructions and you can use their templates. Just verify the paper prints in the proper dimensions when doing so.

Re: Ac vent kit

I found a used set on the parts board and used them as patterns to cut the Factory style vent holes in my 67 dash , The vents that come with the vintage air kits are just a generic looking round vent .

Re: Ac vent kit

I see Old Air Products sells a factory look 3 piece kit for the dash vents. I would think these need to holes and center cut out to be to factory spec's ? I just can't find the Templates so I can print them out in real size ? I am terrible searching the web. Maybe someone has what I need ? Willing to pay for them . I just want to cut everything out correctly. Thank you

I just called Old Air Products and ordered their vent kit. They do charge for the templates but I figured that would be the easiest way to go for me. Hopefully it will all work out and look factory and hopefully I won't mess up the dash lol
Thanks for everyone's replies.
