Re: 1967-c-30

Welcome, Thanks For sharing your project. Looks like a solid start. I did a 68 C-30 last year. Turned it into a shortbed stepside.
Like me some duallys.

Re: 1967-c-30

So far i completly rebuilt the rear brakes with new everything, and all new bearings and seals. Now im down to bare frame and starting to paint it. Along with rebuilding all the leaf spring bushings and pins and painting all the shackle brackets and the like. Hopefully when i get that done i can start on the front suspension and brakes. I want to convert it to disc brake up front but im going to keep it 8-lug. Anyone have experience with the kits brothers truck parts or performance online sell to do this.

When I did mine I bought a 79 c30 chassis & used the whole crossmember. It even had good brakes on it. Bolted it in place & done.

Finally getting some where with the frame. Got all the shackle brackets and parking brake brackets painted as well. Now just waiting on the new shackle pins.

Looking good! Have you decided on what you want for a bed?

Re: 1967-c-30

Got all new brake lines bent & installed on the rear and parking brake cables.
The new armour coated brake lines from NAPA are awesome and last alot longer than the old mild steel lines and can be bent so much easier to get in place.
