Re: Anyone have old pictures of monster trucks?

Almost 10 years old. I see my favorite isn't n here. King Kong. Those guys back then weren't waiting for technology. They were the pioneers

Re: Anyone have old pictures of monster trucks?

Not long ago I came across a picture of my then grade school son standing beside the Grave Digger. If I can find it I'll take it to WalMart & have it digitized & post it!

Re: Anyone have old pictures of monster trucks?

That would be cool to see. I remember my now 40 year old son and nephew climbing up into the wheels of one of the old monster trucks I had a picture of. I don't think I still have it.

Re: Anyone have old pictures of monster trucks?

Jeff Dane recreated his "King Kong" monster a couple years ago. It is now at the monster truck hall of fame museum.

Re: Anyone have old pictures of monster trucks?

I see I never posted on this thread, either.

These are from an event I hosted at the GM Desert Proving Ground. Called "the Happening" it was an annual series of events designed to get GM executives out of their offices in Michigan and out to experience what trucks could for them. This would have been some time between 1990 and 1994.

This particular year we held what we called a "Truck Rodeo", with barrel racing, backing a hay wagon contest and an informal truck pull. I prepped two identical crew cab dually 4x4s and the guy with the sled was from Thumb Trucking in Pigeon Michigan. We also had the USA1 monster truck as a guest for some driving demonstrations.
