Polished OE center caps

Do any of you polish your OE metal center caps?
Here is an original, partly polished and one mostly done

White rouge on a buffing wheel, white diamond polishing compound on the fluffy side.

Yes, used an SOS pad, water and metal polish.

Re: Polished OE center caps

I wanted to remove that satin gray paint on mine. So, I used Easy Off oven cleaner (yellow top)

Let it soak for a few hours & then rinsed off with water, came out great.

I just used wax to polish.

Maybe I was lucky & didn't need a buffing wheel.

Re: Polished OE center caps

Yep, I polished mine. I used a buffing wheel and some red rouge and some mother's aluminum polish.

Here's what the wheels and caps looked like before... vs. installed on the truck now.

Note that my caps are the older style, which doesn't have the circular offset allowance for the lugnuts.
