TH 350 trans swap

What has to be done to a 1986 TH350 to replace a 1976 TH350?

No such thing as a 1986 turbo 350, they were discontinued in 81-82

Re: TH 350 trans swap

My 84 had one.
Was a turbo 350C.
If you do have a 350C it’llhave a Lockup converter.
Last year for them was 1986.

Re: TH 350 trans swap

How do you identify a 350c from a regular 350?

350C will have a solenoid on the side near the shifter shaft.
Pics and info here.

I had an '86 C10 for my first vehicle and it had a stock TH350C in it. Good transmission, '86 is the last year for it as far as the trucks.
