Ignition Switch indexing off

Replacing the ignition switch and cylinder lock on my 64. I bought both from Napa (Echlin) and everything works fine. The key, however, is not in straight up/down position as the original due to the indexing of the switch in the dash. Has anyone else ran into this issue? Does the Counterpart switch have the proper indexing?

Tell us what function is not straight up and down, Acc,, Lock, Off, On, or Start?. Sounds like you do not have the switch/bezel aligned properly. I'd check that before I began grinding...

Re: Ignition Switch indexing off

I was thrown off because my original switch did not have ACC position. It works fine.
