Well, I think they made a handful of those which essentually makes it a "rare vehicle" indeed, maybe one of 100?? That doesn't mean it is an $8k vehicle but super rare for sure!

Uhm, that is more like only 68 3/4 ton 4x4 panels produced that year.

Re: 68 Panel Truck on CL....(not mine)

I've never seen a panel version of my burb, heck it's rare I see another 67/68 K20 burb.

Holy grail? That may be stretchin it, but yea it is a pretty uncommon rig.

Currious what the drive train specs are in this panel.

Rare does not necessarily mean valuable or desireable.

Re: 68 Panel Truck on CL....(not mine)

It will have the old style closed knuckle front end with drum brakes.
Not sure about the driveline but the 67 we had at El Toro back in 73 had a 3spd with a divorced Dana 20.
The body style and it being 4wd is rare indeed, but the front axle and transmission are undesirable in todays traffic.
Most parts to upgrade are obviously easily available, but would change the originality of a pretty rare vehicle.

Really only 69 produced! It's a 68. They should of made 68 not 69 of them.

Re: 68 Panel Truck on CL....(not mine)

they made 68 of them
They made 59 K/10 panels in 68.
67 was even more rare.

Re: 68 Panel Truck on CL....(not mine)

I saw one at the Charlotte Auto fair in fall 2008.It was a 292 4 speed 4X4 with a K code VIN.It was offgassing paint fumes really strong so must have just been painted(who knows what lay beneath). The ask on it was $7500.00 but I only saw it at night so don't really know the condition.
