Re: Wanting a bed cover

I have had a Craftec on my long bed truck for about 4 years now. Truck is always outside during the summer and after a decent rain I always take a towel and wipe out the bed. I have a wood bed and want to keep it nice. I would say it has done a nice job of keeping the bed mostly dry but does leak some on the sides. More rain resistant than rain proof. For the money I plan on getting one for my current short bed project. I like the low profile appearance.

I've seen great reviews on Extang Covers and they make a few different styles for our trucks. https://extang.com

Re: Wanting a bed cover

I’m tossed between the Craftec at $299 or the TruXedo Lo Pro at $500. I have the TruXedo Lo Pro on my 2016 and has been a excellent cover but I think the craftec will be a better fit for the c20.

Re: Wanting a bed cover

I will say that I have a craftec bed cover 0n my 93 dodge w250 think I bought it in 98 or 99 they use to advertise in the back of truck magazines ,this is before the internet was widly used, its still in great shape for its age , I dont know if they have changed the design of the cover but the one I have can be taken off in about 2 minutes flat ,that is one of the reasons I bought it. I also had them make it to fit my long bed that had a sleeper cab on it, so size wise was custom made to fit my needs and they were great about takeing time with me to get the proper mesurments.

I like my Extang cover however one of the corners broke without me noticing it and scratched the rear of my cab. Just check it periodically!

The company replaced all of the hardware without question and I fixed it easily enough.
