I found me one of these things that matches the CB I have in my Blazer. It is in mint condition looks like it has never been used. Problem is I can’t find any instructions as to how it is supposed to be hooked up or how to use it. It has the extra power supply and cable that I assume gets wired to the big box??? Any reason why the extra power is separate?

My guess is the base uses 12VDC and the box is that 12 volt source. There should be some info near the power plug on the base unit.

Take a close up of the back of the base near the power plug and the info tag.

You should have a 120 VAC power plug that would plug in to a wall outlet on the back (for home use) and there is a twin wire (red 12 volt + and a black 12 volt - ) that is for use in a truck or the 12 volt power supply on top of your C.B.
Red to red and black to black.
Note if there is a 120 volt AC power cord you do not use the 12V cord (just remove it )
There are two 1/8 jacks used for a 5 watt 8 ohm PA speaker , one for a external speaker and the coax cable
By the way looks like a Nice find.

If by chance it has not been use in a long time and will not transmit leave it turned on say for 24 to 36 hours and it will eventually work .

Thanks for all the input guys.

Both the base unit and the power supply have 120v cords on them. Good idea about leaving the unit on to get it working.
